Giving Thanks - Day 14

Day fourteen:

I am thankful for the woombie.  As mentioned in yesterday's post, this is a perfect swaddle for those paranoid about SIDS, as it is a zip up pod that will not come up over the baby's face.  It is also the perfect swaddle because there is no way for the baby to get out of it.  Jake worked his way out of all other swaddles we tried.  It also features a zipper which comes up from the bottom as well as the top to make for easy middle of the night diaper changes.
Some who see Jake in his swaddle comment that he must not like it because he squirms around and fights it sometimes, but, trust me, he likes it.  He won't sleep in his crib without it.  Because he's still so young, he hasn't outgrown his startle reflex and, without being swaddled, it would wake him up every time.
