Meet Red

"Red" the Elf made his very first appearance at the Estill house Thanksgiving night. As with anything new, Jake was a little apprehensive at first, but now he really loves looking for Red first thing in the morning. He is always doing something silly (see below) and Jake has started saying things like, "Elves don't fish, right mom? That's sense!". (meaning that doesn't make any sense, I think) Every morning, it's, ".... That's sense!" He thinks Red is funny. The threat of Red watching him and reporting his behavior to Santa has about a 40% success rate of stopping bad behavior in it's tracks. I'll take it.

Fishing
Having a camp fire on top of jakes tent
Hiding in Jake's stocking

Jake wasn't on his best behavior last night.  Red returned to the North Pole as he does each night to report on Jake's day, but instead of sending him back this morning, Santa is keeping him until Jake straightens up. Red left the note below for Jake. So far, it's had no impact at all. It's true what they say about redheaded children. Stubborn as a damn mule, this one.

Red is a good elf.  I know some who have elves who make big messes and get into trouble every night.  This one knows this Mama isn't into such shenanigans right now.
