He had his first solid food two nights ago. The second time he ate it, he'd learned to open his mouth to get it. This morning, when he ate it for the third time, he had mastered pushing it to the back of his throat instead of pushing his tongue forward. (he also learned that if he "cries" between bites mommy will shovel it in faster)
Another new skill of his is reaching and grabbing! I am so proud! This has just happened in the past two days. Before then, he would just stare at whatever we put in front of him, now he reaches out and grabs for it. Sometimes he gets it, sometimes he misses. It's so sweet to watch his shakey little arms and hands move slowly towards what he's trying to grab. If he gets it, he almost always brings it to his mouth. love it.
His Kiki and Poppy gave him a music player with a keyboard and other fun things on it that hooks onto the inside of his crib. Of course he doesn't know to push the keys yet, but he's very interested in it and gets excited when he accidentally sets it off.
It really is amazing to see his little mind and body at work. No wonder babies sleep so much!
Today is my last day working from home, so I decided to keep him here with me. Don't tell!
