John's friend got married this weekend in Key West and, since I'm not yet ready to leave Jake for that long, he went alone and Jake and I headed to Greenville for a long weekend with my family.
It was so great to spend time with family and Jake was just about eaten alive with kisses! Unfortunately, he has run a fever every day since last Sunday when he had croup. I had plans to visit with some friends during our visit, but, since Jake was under the weather, we didn't venture from my parents' house. Even though he didn't feel well, he was so good and sweet. He's always such a trooper and he LOVES his Nana and Papa.
It really was such a great visit and it was a big birthday weekend, too! My dad's sixtieth birthday is today and Caitlin's, Owen's FIANCE(!), birthday was yesterday so we had a big dinner last night to celebrate.
We missed you, John, Shelby, Brad, Henry, and Manning!

Hanna, we miss you and Jake. Had the best time with you two!!!! So glad that you took him in to the doctor, he must be like Charlie and not complain about ears. Love you and thank you so much for making the weekend so special. By the way this is Nana by way of Jean's account:)
