Sweet little Lilly is the newest addition to our home. When we adopted her last Tuesday from the shelter, she was in pretty rough shape. We are told that her owners moved and left her behind and, from the looks of her at the time, this is plausible. She was pretty ratty and skinny, but we (i.e. John) fell in love. Upon bringing her home, we discovered that she was in heat. Among several less than desirable things about this fact is that our other dog, Moose, is a male who has not been neutered! AND he weighs about 90 pounds compared to her tiny 11 pounds. The vet was able to squeeze in Lilly's surgery this past Saturday and now she's on the mend. Needless to say, it has been an absolute ZOO around here, but we are so glad to have her!
