Jake's 5th birthday party

This year, for Jake's birthday, we had a "boys only" party at the farm!  The boys rode the trailer down to the pond where they caught lots and lots of fish!  The each had a cane pole and help with baiting the hooks with crickets.  Then they rode back up to the barnyard to play for a while, having a silly string fight and just running around getting as dirty as possible before having cupcakes, pirate's booty, and popsicles. 

THEY.HAD.A.BALL!

Jake has said it was the "best party ever" and the "best day of his life" several times.  That makes it a success in our book!

(I was sad to miss the fishing fun, but Susan and I felt it would be best to keep Luke and Hamp away from the flying hooks and water and kept them up in the cabin during this part of the party.  The other moms and dads had fun helping!)
