Thankful - day 18

I am thankful for the ability to feed my child and provide for him his most basic needs.  I came across this picture online today and my heart aches, just like all of ours do when we see images like this.
I can't even begin to imagine what it must feel like to be helpless in the face of my child's starvation. 

I am God's child and I know better than to question Him, but, while I give thanks for my blessings, it's hard not to wonder why innocent children like this one are born into a life like that.  I've done nothing to deserve my blessings and they've done nothing to deserve their pain.
