We had such a wonderful time at Edisto this year. It was a whole new experience with Jake along and I can't wait for the years to come with him at the beach. This year, it was just another place for him to play, but it was fun for us to take our first vacation with him and to enjoy one of our favorite places with our favorite person!
He took to the beach lifestyle like a champ! He napped and slept so well and was just on his best behavior the whole time! The water was too cold for him to sit and play in, but he didn't know the difference, so we weren't too disappointed. He did love playing under the tent and, in true boy fashion, relished the sand stuck to him. I looked down at one point to find him sucking it off his fingers two fingers at a time. I guess he liked the salty taste!
John's aunt and uncle are INCREDIBLY generous to allow us to all vacation in their home when they travel during the summer. We had a great time with John's mom and dad and with his other aunt and uncle. The food and company were fabulous and Jake will probably take a little while to get used to the real world again where there isn't someone oohing and ahhing over every little move he makes from sun up to sun down!

I LOVE the pic with his sandy toes! So sweet! And the pic with Jake sleeping on you makes my heart melt! I am so glad yall had such a good time!
